Settled in for Winter!! And some shares!

Well, we are finally sitting still.   We have been on the 'road' since  mid April and then working at Dworshak Dam, in ID, from May till mid-September.

We weren't sure where our next job would take us but when we got to our friend's house, they convinced us to stick around here for the Fall/Winter, at least until we made up our minds if we wanted to settle down or continue RVing.

Now that I am not working and have decent Wi Fi and am close to my storage shed, I can start stamping like I used to.  That is the plan, anyway.

It was such a struggle up at the Dam to get onto Blogger, I could e-mail but uploading photos was almost impossible....it would take days and days for the pictures to come through from my phone to my computer.

Here are a couple of cards that I made while I was at the Dam.  One was for a 90 year old man for his birthday and the other for my husband for his 75th birthday...both in September.

I realize that these cards use retired products but it's all I had with me that I felt would be appropriate to use for guys that used tools in their jobs.

Then, I made a stop sign using the old Alphabet that SU used to carry. :-(

The Ranger had told me that she had her back to the door when people would come to her cubicle and it would be nice if she had a sign that told them she was on the phone!!   So, I made her one and put rhinestones all around the outside of the STOP sign and on the lettering.  She loved it!!!

Wow.....I can't believe I wrote an entire post, photos and all in less time than it took me to get connected and onto Blogger up at the Dam.

Hopefully, now I'll be encouraged to share a LOT more!!!

If you have time, will you please let me know if you received this or not?  Just a comment, "I GOT IT" will help me know how to move forward.

Have a fantastic day!!!!!

Retiring List to post on April 15th and Stampin' Trimmer news.

Image result for Images for retiring

Stampin' Up! will soon be releasing their Retired List on April 15th.

As exciting as this is to know new things will soon be available, we tend to wait too long to order the card stock that will be retiring and the inks and pads that go with them.

So, if you have a favorite color on 'in color' card stock that you really like, don't wait for the final day to place your order as we have come to realize that the retiring colors go the fastest and are sometimes out of stock in hours.

On another note:

Yesterday, We demonstrators learned of some major changes that will be coming with the new catalog that I wanted to share with you.

With the release of the upcoming new catalog, the Stampin' Trimmer, including blades, and cutting mats will retire.

SU has had difficulties getting replacement blades and other challenges with our suppliers.

I suggest you order your replacement blades soon!!!!

I just did check while getting my blog post ready to post and already the Stampin' scoring blades are gone AND the Stampin' Mats.

So, get your blades ordered, now!!

There is a limit of 3 packages (6 blades) per order currently.  Beginning April 15th the limit will change to 6 packs of 12 blades.

We expect to have a run on blades.  These blades could go on back order or un-orderable status.

Also Stampin' Up! will be retiring the Big Shot and it's accessories in the new catalog.

Just like the trimmer Stampin' Up! is working on a different die cutting machine but currently it is not available.

This means all accessories will be retiring too.  Click on the links below to order your supplies for your Big Shot before they are gone.

The Good News is that Stampin'  Up! will continue to offer dies and embossing folders.  They will work in the existing Big shot and all other Die Cutting Machines on the market.

So I recommend you order ASAP, click on the links below and be taken right to my SU! Online Store.

Paper Pumpkin is turning 6!!!

I wanted to share is about Paper Pumpkin.  I have been getting these fun boxes from SU because it's just so easy to have a small project to do that's already thought out for me.

In March, Paper Pumpkin will be 6 years old and SU is giving us TWO stamp sets in one box.

But, hurry.....you have to sign up by March 10th.

Here is the flyer!!

If you have had Paper Pumpkin before but have put it on hold, be sure to get it coming again for March.   I am looking forward to seeing what they have up their sleeve.

If you have never ordered Paper Pumpkin before, now is a great time to order it to try it out.  You'll be getting two stamp sets.  Everything you need to make the kits is in that box...with the exception of adhesive to put your cards together and we all have that.

Here is the link where you can sign up to receive this month's Paper Pumpkin.  But, hurry.....time is running out.

What have I been up to lately??

Actually, it's been a really busy two years.

I realized, the other day, that next month, April 28th to be exact, will be two years since we sold our home, bought an RV and have been here and there ever since.

It's been an adventure....some good, some not so good but we have made a LOT of memories.

As for my stamping, and my SU business, I have had to make a LOT of adjustments.  It hasn't been as easy as I had thought it would be to keep up with my SU business, my customers, let alone my stamping.  (although I knew it would be a lot harder than living in a home in a permanent spot, I didn't dream it would be this hard).

For one thing, we aren't always in the same location.  Now, that doesn't affect my customers, as their orders are sent directly to them....but it does affect me, on how I receive my personal orders as we could be at a different location but only there a few days so couldn't order like I wanted to in order to keep up with the new catalogs.

And, it also affected me offering my Card of the Month, that my customers were used to receiving when they placed an order,  as to be perfectly honest I only had  a minimum of supplies with me while we were travelling around in the truck, before we got our RV.

The first 5 months, we didn't even have our RV yet so everything was still packed in our storage shed.

We thought we'd have our RV in June and be back in Oregon the next month, before heading to TX, but that didn't happen.  We didn't receive our RV till September 8th. I was without my stamping supplies for over 4 months and even after we got some of them into our RV, it was.

So, truth be known, I struggled to keep afloat so that I could at least hit my 5 year mark with Stampin' UP!   I made that goal in October of 2018.

But, I lost most of my customers, which is understandable.  They wanted ideas and I just couldn't keep up with my Card of the Month, being constantly on the road.

So, to all of my customers that are reading this....I am truly sorry that I let you down.  That was not my intention when we started this journey.   I just had no idea that we wouldn't have our RV in June and how extremely difficult it would be to keep up the pace once we did.

Now that we are sitting still for at least another 6 months, it's easier to stamp.  NOT EASY...but easier.

The stamp room that I created in our RV is very, very small and a lot of my things are over in a storage shed.  For the first year, we were a long way away from the storage shed so I couldn't just go get things to work on.

I have organized and re-organized my little stamp room so now it's at least easier to get to the supplies that I keep here in the RV.  I am starting to stamp again!!!  That, in itself, makes me happy!!

Long story short, I don't know what the future holds.  I will keep stamping.  At least, now, we have a storage shed closer to where we live and work and I can keep some supplies over there.  Still, it's not ideal and I do really MISS having a 'real' stamp room but it just goes to prove that IF you want to do something bad enough, you can.

I guess what I am trying to say is....sometimes "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get!!"  :-)

I will continue to share ideas when I can get things made....and post to my blog.

Here is one thing I made not too long ago, to share with my Co Workers and friends.

These were so much fun to do!  I made the little calendar holders but ordered the calendars from Vippies.com.

Since then, I ordered some more from Taylored Expressions and got the ones for 2019...as they were only .75 cents for a pack of 10.    And, they were just black and white....not colored like the ones in the photo.

Sorry this post was so long.........................I'll try and do better!!

Have a great day!!!
