Class Thursday

I am excited for class on Thursday!  Today, I finalized the kits and am cleaning house because I have a dentist appointment tomorrow.

As I was dry mopping my floor in my stamp room, I spotted a 'spider' on the floor and immediately freaked out.

I was SO happy on a second look, as I was getting ready to CRUSH him... to see it was just a cut out from one of my framelits!!  It sure gave me a 'start' there for a second.  I had to laugh at myself, for being such a big sissy!  I am just glad hubby wasn't home to hear me scream and just to find out it was only a cut out.

Now I am working on a Big Shot workshop to be held in October.  I will update as the date is finalized.  With all the different things that we use with the Big Shot, I think people need to a refresher course on how to use the different platforms with the different products.

I have been having so much fun with the Thoughtful Branches Bundle that is only being offered through August 31st or while supplies last.

When I first saw it, I thought....oh another tree set....BUT then I started seeing all the different cards that were done with the different dies...and I was HOOKED.  I hurried and ordered it before it was gone....and have been having a blast playing with it.

I also love the different sentiments in the set.  And, what I love the most is that it can either be a tree (and all the different seasons) or it can be a Hydrangea bush!! And, I have even seen animals made with it.

Class Registration closes on Monday Aug 15th

I have been super busy, this week, preparing for my class on Thursday.  That mess you see on my desk doesn't contain any of the cards that we'll be making on Thursday, but it does contain quite a few that I made as samples to show!

I am so excited as I will be able to share the items that I bought from the Holiday catalog on my pre-order and have some card samples made up!  It's a FUN catalog, this year!!

Remember, if you don't live close enough to attend my class. on Thursday, but you place a qualifying order this month, of $25 or more, you will receive the Card Buffet that includes directions and photos for making the cards that we made at class.

Thoughtful Branches and Card Share

I have been having a blast using the Floral Phrases stamp set.  Here is another card that I made the other night.  I am on a Floral Phrases kick right now :-)

As I mentioned before, Stampin' UP! has brought out a new stamp set called Thoughtful Branches.  At first, I wasn't going to order it but the more I saw things made from this stamp set, I knew I just had to have it.

Busy stamping!!!!

Yesterday, I decided to cut up a bunch of different sizes of DSP and make what is called One Sheet Wonder cards.  I followed the directions given to me, but decided to cut two 12 x 12 sheets of DSP at the same time.  So, I ended up with a boat load of pieces to choose from.

Then, rather than follow the exact examples laid out, I just decided to create my own cards as I was going along.

The above is one of those cards.  I used an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock but scored it lengthwise before cutting it at 4 1/4 lengthwise.  That way, it either folds at the top or at the side.  I chose to have mine opening to the side.

I used Night of Navy card stock, Whisper White card stock and the gorgeous Floral Boutique DSP.

I also used the Fluttering Embossing folder, Bunch of Banners Framelits and Banners For You stamp set. SO EASY!!!

Once all your components are cut out, it's just so easy to create different looking cards using the same DSP and Card stock.  But, yet, they look different.

Here is another one I did using the same cut outs but placing them differently on the card.

Below are the ingredients I used for these and 15 other cards.  I hope to share more in the near future.

If you want to have a full day of creativity, just use the One Sheet Wonder technique to cut out all of your components and then just sit there and play!!

Fun Butterfly Frame

I had a fun time taking one of my Up Line's classes, yesterday.  We made the beautiful box below. 

Then, we made four cards using the one sheet wonder technique.

I'll share those at a later date!

She had all the components punched out ahead of time for us so once we made our box, it was easy peasy.  All we had to do was score, cut and put together our box using 12 x 12 card stock and then add the designer paper in the middle and then the flowers and butterflies on the sides.

After getting home and making dinner, which consisted of a Tuna Sandwich and chips, (gotta have your priorities straight, right?) I had to sit down to try one of my own before I forgot how we did it, along with a few text messages back and forth with my upline!! :-)

I had to make it in a different color just for fun...and since I had forgotten to stamp the card stock beforehand, I used Designer Series Paper to cover the sides.  Of course, the back is a little bare, but oh well!!

I used the Regals 2015-2017 Designer Series Pack to decorate the sides and the flowers are from the Botanical Builder Framelits.  The butterflies are made using the Butterflies Thinlits.  Then, I added pearls to the flowers and the butterfly! I am already thinking of Christmas with Christmas DSP....oh what fun!!

Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine by Stampin’ Up!
