And, yet another garage sale...sigh AND a Good deal from SU for JUNE

Ok, have fun looking sideways...lol.  I tried and tried to fix this photo to no avail.
Once again, we are having another garage sale.  Most of the stamps and rubber stamping supplies are from my demonstrator days with The Angel Company. I was with them for 11 years.  I have hung on for too long to all the stamps I just knew I would use again.  HELLO???  I haven't and especially not since becoming a SU demonstrator almost 3 years ago.

I keep asking myself, "Why do you keep doing this?"  Why?  Because each year, I get rid of more stamps and this year....I slashed the prices down to about .50 cents a CD case.  WAY, WAY, WAY less than their original cost.  They are all unmounted.  But, heck, the CD case has to be worth at least .10cents, right? LOL

I also am selling some SU sets that are retired and some other crafting supplies.

Then, there are the household things and a beautiful king size headboard and foot board.  I hate to get rid of it, but we just downsized to a queen bed.  I just want our garage back to park cars in.....imagine that!!!

And, since my wrist is doing so much better, and I am able to stamp once again, I am planning on starting up classes again, really soon!!!

Hopefully, I will start blogging more, too!  I just haven't had anything to share as I haven't stamped hardly at all in 6 months.

Can you have too much fun at a garage sale?

I don't believe you can.  Well, at least I can't.

The photo taken above was at our first garage sale in June.  But, even though it was a huge success, I ended up with a lot of these stamps and boxes of unmounted sets from my TAC (The Angel Company) days plus other stamping supplies.

So, what's a gal to do?  Well, I was invited to participate in yet another yard sale in Redmond, July 31st and Aug 1. So, I jumped at the chance. I didn't think to take photos at that one.  Dang!!

This time around, though, the work of pricing everything was already done, so all I had to do was load up my stamping supplies, tables, canopy and join in!!

What a fun weekend of socializing, visiting with other stampers and need I mention....sweating ;-) I also got in a lot of steps on my Fitbit!

The sale started at 9:00 am but people started showing up as early 7:00 am.  All good...as that was expected, we just were not quite ready that early ;-)

It was at an excellent location and the day was BUSY!!!!  And, HOT!!!!  It was 102º!!  We all drank a TON of water.  The second day seemed even busier although the other gals said it was slower!  It only reached 100º that day.

You see all those mounted stamps in the above photo?  I sold them ALL!!  YEAAA!!!  Made a dent in my unmounted stamp sets and sold all of my extra cardstock, too.  Whooohooo!!!

I was able to see a few friends that I hadn't seen in awhile and we got caught up. I made some new friends and also met a lot of stampers!  New and seasoned! What fun!!

I am already planning a future garage sale, but this time....there will be more things added as we continue to purge and simplify our lives.  :-)

Garage Sales.......gotta love them, right?

Seventeen years of collecting stamping supplies and I am finally able to say goodbye to a major portion of it.

No, I am not quitting stamping, I just have way too much stuff!  ;-)  

I joined another company back in 1999.  I got in on pretty much the ground floor.  I was with them for 12 years and went through the growing pains along with them.  It was so much fun and I met so many wonderful demonstrators from all over the country.  But, it ended suddenly in August of 2011 just after the debut of the new catalog.  They suddenly closed their doors much to all of our shock and dismay.   

I kept most all of my stamps from back then.  I had sold some over the years that I didn't use any longer but for the most part, I kept what I had bought.

But, since I joined Stampin' UP in October of 2014,  I figured it was time to let go of the past.  

Heaven forbid, I even decided to get rid of 12 years of past catalogs, the other night.   Tonight, I asked my hubby if he had remembered to throw them in the dumpster at work....hoping he hadn't take me seriously, after all....(cause I was about to change my mind again) and he replied, "You told me to, didn't you?"  DANG...he listened.  :-(  Oh well....what's done is done...and it really is time to move on.  I really don't want to dumpster dive at midnight  :-)

 So here is part of our garage, full of stuff.  I have worked for weeks and weeks pricing and attempting to get things in a somewhat organized fashion.  And, as of 5pm on Wednesday, it is pretty much finished.

We open our doors at 9am on Saturday June 20th and I am hoping most of it GOES!!!

 I sent these photos to an online friend and she said, "That's no garage sale...that's a flea market"  I got a good chuckle out of that.

 You really cannot appreciate just how full our garage is by seeing partial shots.

 Lots of punches.  I have some of these in Framelits now and similar punches.  I mean just how many punches does one need to do the exact same thing?

Then, there are the stamps!!!  Mounted, unmounted, grab bags!!  I have to stay away from these tables because I want to snatch quite a few of them back.

But, like the catalogs...it's time to move on and I haven't really used many of them for awhile.  

Since these photos were taken, we added another few tables and I still have things to put outside on the actual day.  There just isn't room in the garage.  I am not only getting rid of  stamping supplies, but other crafts, Christmas ornaments, snow people I have collected over the years, books, cookbooks, movies, just way too much to list.

I am finding out why my Mom quit decorating when she got older.  It's just too tiring and I am enjoying more simple decorations.....like ONE tree!!  :-)

Speaking of trees, I have two really nice artificial trees, as well.   And, then there are all those miscellaneous things....and odds and ends....and....and....and....
It's just time to simplify life!!!!

Wish us luck!!!!   And, I am hoping once life settles back down...I'll be back to blogging...even if I am the only one who reads it.  It is therapeutic, actually.
