Waiting.......waiting.....

It's after Noon and I am waiting for the Big Bown truck to arrive with my Stampin' UP! preorder!!!  I keep walking to the window looking to see if he's coming.  "Nope, not yet",  as my Granddaughter keeps saying.

Normally, the UPS truck arrives around Noon, so of course I am getting antsy!! But, when it's a holiday or a special day coming up, they seem to be a lot busier and that may be the reason he's a little later than normal.  Sigh.
Last time he came, it was nearly 4pm.

So, while I am waiting to give you a sneak peek at the catalog cover, I will show you a card I demonstrated on Thursday.
The color didn't photo well, for some reason, but I used the Wildflower Meadow background stamp (W #129165, C #129168) (retiring in June) and Pistachio Pudding card stock (I am going to MISS this color).  I embossed the Wildflower Meadow stamp onto Pistachio Pudding card stock using a Versamark pad and white EP.

Then, I stamped and embossed two flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set (W #130939, C #130942) and three flowers from the Petite Petals (W #133152, C 133155) stamp set and punched them out using the Pansy punch (130698) and the Petite Petals (133322) punch.

It was easy to just add them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Then, I just added pearls to the centers.

Such a quick and easy easy card and I can't wait to try out some of the newer "In Colors" using another background stamp with this same idea.

Still waiting.....................it's 1:33 pm so I'll jump back online and share a photo of the catalog when it gets here!!

I'm off to make lunch!!

UPS did come, but not till around 4:30 PM.  Here is the sneak peek at the catalog!!

My Granddaughter was pretty excited to be here when the catalog arrived so I let her hold it up so I could take a picture of it.

This was before I went through and put all my blue 'flags' on each page ;-)

Have a great day!!!

Our little hike

rimrock springs view from the trail

Sunday, May 3rd, we took a nice drive and ended up at one of our favorite places to take a nice 1/2 hour or so hike.

Is this gorgeous or what?  My photo didn't turn out this clear so I copied one off of the internet.  This is just one of the many views you will see on this 1.75 mile hike.

And, here is the link to read more about this wonderful little hike.

And a map should you be so inclined to stop and take this short walk.

Zoey, David and Annie enjoying a rest on the observation deck.
Walking up the unpaved trail.
Can't remember the name of this 'hill'.

The 'hill'  is called Haystack

Another view of the surrounding area

Later that day, we took a drive out to the overlook at Lake Billy Chinook so we could take a photo David and I for David's Mom for Mother's Day.  Nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh??

We were treated to a full moon on the way back to our house.

Wish I was a better photographer, as it was an absolutely gorgeous night and that full moon was awesome!!!

Have a great day!!

Oh where, oh where has the time gone??

Good Morning,

I can't believe it's been over a month and a half since my last post.  Where on earth does the time go??

Hmmm, let's see...since March 17th our dog, Annie, turned 11 years old.
Can hardly believe that.

We took a trip over to Springfield, OR to visit our Son and loved seeing the pass completely clear of snow, the entire way!!!  That is basically unheard of that time of year.  We usually at least see snow on the sides of the road.

We've had a really unusual winter/spring in that we have had almost summer like weather and it just continues!!!   Have to admit, I have been enjoying it, but not sure where this will leave us come mid to late summer time when the lack of irrigation water may become an issue.  They are already talking about farmers being put on a water restriction for their crops.

I got new glasses and a new haircut.  I went to a new gal and she cut my hair WAY TOO SHORT....so I hibernated in the house for a couple of weeks ;-)  It's growing out, now, to about the length I like and it's time for another hair cut...but I think I'll have her just barely trim it, this time.  I believe in giving a new hair stylist a few times to get to know my likes and dislikes and to build up communication....before I decide to keep going or not.

Our Granddaughter, Zoey, came to visit us in mid April and is still here.  We have so enjoyed having her here.

We puppy sat our Son's dog for 9 days.  Oh wait, NOW I remember one of the reasons I haven't posted...LOL   I had completely forgotten how much time a puppy takes out of your day.  He is a cutie....but cute only takes him SO FAR.

After a long 3 month break from stamping, I finally started stamping again and finished my Card Buffet for May.  And, I got a sneak peek at the new catalog coming out in June!!  You are going to love it!!!

Here are the new In Colors for 2015-2017

I'm not quite sure about the bright green, but I am certain that after I start creating, it will grow on me.  I have to admit, though, I will miss the retiring In Colors.

Yesterday, we demonstrators were given the opportunity to pre-order some of the new items coming out in the new catalog.  Of course, there were only pre-selected items....so we couldn't just order whatever we wanted out of the new catalog.  But, it's ok, June is right around the corner!!  Catalogs should be here mid to late May.  If you have ordered from me in the past 6 months or so, you will be receiving one.  If you would like one and aren't a regular customer or haven't ordered for quite a while, they are just $7.50 including shipping.  Just send me a quick e-mail and I will get one out to you when they arrive.

Pawsnstamp@centurylink.net

As demonstrators, if we took advantage of the pre-order, they include one in our order.  YEAH!!!!  Although I was able to preview the catalog online, I still can't wait to get my hands on my very own copy so I can begin making check marks on the items I want.

As soon as it arrives, I can take a photo of someone holding the catalog....but per SU policy, I cannot post photos of what's inside till it is released.

Of course, I CAN post photos of what I make with the new products I ordered.

Stay tuned ;-)

Have a fabulous day!!!  And, remember to take time to Paws N Stamp!!!
