Ribbon Weaving with En-May

I was cleaning out in the garage, today, and I found a box of a bunch of these that I had made up over a year or so ago.  I found it addicting and could sit and do it while watching TV.

I made a few cards with them and then set them aside and eventually they ended up out in my stash in the garage.

Tonight, while browsing the internet, I came across the YouTube tutorial where I had first learned this technique and I thought I would share it with you.

Give it a try!!!  It's fun!!

Have a fantastic day!!!

Happy Water Color Wednesday!!

Today is Wednesday and UPS is scheduled to deliver a package from Stampin' UP!  Whoooohoooo!!!   I always look forward to the UPS truck pulling up in front of my house  :-)

I have been down with some sort of virus....not sick enough to stay in bed all day but don't have much energy, either.  SO, I have been busy getting my March Stamp of the Month cards done and I can sit down and type up the tutorials.   So, having this down time came in sort of handy!! :-)

I took a break from the card kits and I got out a different set (one I will be using in the future) and came up with this card and wanted to share it with you.
The stamp set is Happy Watercolor ( a favorite set of mine ) in the Occasions mini catalog .  I used Pear Pizzazz card stock and Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper.  And, the Crisp Cantaloupe ink in the middle gives it just a tiny 'pop' of extra color.

I have been having a blast playing with this punch!!!  You will absolutely LOVE it!!!   Right now, it's on back order....because it was super popular!!  But, as soon as it becomes available....I'll let you know.

Also, the new Fringe Scissors in the Occasions catalog is on back order, too. Another fun tool to use.

Well....better get back to the stamp table!!

Hope you get some time to play today!!!

Hugs,
Char

Tuesday Deals

Here are the weekly deals ending on Monday, March 3rd.
And, remember...if your order is $50, before tax and shipping, you get to select a free Sale-A-Bration item!
I have to tell you, I really love the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper, what a deal!!!  Stock up!!!

Being sick isn't fun.....................but making cards IS!!

I have gotten a LOT of card making done this week in between naps.  I came down with some sort of virus a little over a week ago....and have been aching and feeling just miserable.

But, I figured it wasn't going away, all too soon....so why not make the best of it? I didn't have energy to do much else, so, I decided I would just lay low and do absolutely nothing.....except make cards.  Actually, it has helped me take my mind off of not feeling well.

I have been working on March's Stamp of the Month cards.  (I announced it yesterday).  I am using the stamp set, Flower Shop.  You can view one of the cards we will be making, HERE.

I have been really enjoying seeing how much mileage I can get out of this set.  The possibilities are endless!  And, the more I make, the more ideas I come up with.

Here is a little something my hubby came up with!  I told him I wish that I had something to hold my Dazzling Details and Stickles upright so that they didn't clog and this is what he came up with.  It still needs to be stained or painted or something but I LOVE IT!!!!  Now my Stickles are handy, too.

As you can see, I don't have it filled yet.  A lot of my stuff is still out in the garage where I moved it when we re did the craft room.  So, when I am feeling better, I am going to go unearth my Stickles.
I was glad to be able to add my 2 way glue pens in the back so that they can stand upright.

Hmmmm, wonder what I can get him to make me next?   He really doesn't enjoy woodworking.  He says he is more of a rough carpenter and isn't into finish work....but who cares.....it serves its purpose and I LOVE it because he made it for me!!!

What's on your agenda today???  Going to be doing any stamping?

Have a FANTASTIC day!!!!

Get those pinkies inky!!!

Stamp of the Month

STAMP OF THE MONTH CLUB
MARCH

It's that time again!!

Last month, I started my Stamp of the Month Club!!  What fun!!

Now, it's time for this month's Stamp of the Month selection.

Do you have stamp sets that you have purchased and then wondered what to do with them?  I have the solution for you!!!

Join my Stamp of the Month Club!!!

If you are wondering what this is all about, you can go here and read all about it.

This month, we will be using The Flower Shop stamp set.
I will also be adding the Pansy Punch to the mix.   This is a fun combination to use when making cards and the possibilities are endless.

Flower ShopPansy Punch

I will show you what to make with those stamp sets and provide the products to make your first three projects.

Here are the details:

Every Month, I will choose a "stamp set" of the month.  You purchase the stamp set and coordinating punch or framelits (if there are any for that month).

Each month, the cost of the kit will vary between $25 - $35, depending on the cost of the stamp set.  (The stamp sets will be in clear mount only)

I place the order on or around the 5th of each month (depending on what day it falls on)
After the order arrives, I assemble the kits and then
I will send you the stamp set, embellishments and product to make three cards.

This club works great because you can add to your collection and have the product  to immediately start using your stamp set.

You will receive an e-mail from me, when I ship your kit, with a pdf file, attached, that will have complete instructions and photos of the projects.  Plus, I also include up to 7 or more additional samples of ideas.

You pay in advance.  I offer Pay Pal or Credit Card......Payment has to reach me by the 1st of the month.   I will place the order and when the order arrives, I will make up the kits and ship them out by the 15th of the month.

Here is a sample of one card we will be making this month.

Any questions??  Please feel free to e-mail me

Have a Fantastic Day!!!

Stampin UP Kits

Have you been wanting to give stamping a try, but not sure where to start or even HOW to start?  Well, this is where the Stampin UP! Kits come into play.

Here are all the kits that Stampin UP! has to offer, right now!

You get all the items you need to make the cards (except for adhesive).  So, that way you can get your 'feet' wet, so to speak and yet not have to purchase a lot of supplies.

Although I LOVE making my cards from scratch, I also like having some of these kits handy for those times when I just need a quick card.

You can go to my website here to see the kits online and place your order.

Don't forget, once you reach $50, you will get to choose a FREE item from the
Sale A Bration catalog.

Or, contact me at Pawsnstamp@centurylink.net and I will be glad to place your order for you.

Have a great day!!!!

Guess what came in the mail?

IT CAME...............................................................on Saturday!!!

My Paper Pumpkin!!

Isn't that box cute??  And, I heard through the grapevine that if you want to reuse the box, you can remove the shipping label with a heat gun....just be very careful!

Well, I couldn't wait, I carefully tore open the box to see what this month's project was.  OH HOW FUN!!!!

Well, I wanted to sit right down and make up my cards immediately, but I had a bunch of things I needed to get done first.....like my tutorials for my Stamp Of The Month card class.  The kits are going out on Tuesday so the tutorials needed to be done!!

Anyway, last night, I finally had time to lay all of my goodies out on my stamp table.
Silly me, I put the directions behind the little Paper Pumpkin logo and left out the free markers that we got free for signing up by Feb. 10th and the acrylic block (you get with your first kit).

Here are the markers, directions to make the cards and the 'welcome' to My Paper Pumpkin card.

I couldn't believe how fast these made up!!  Oh my gosh, it's great to have cards that I can just make up quick for those occasions when I just don't have time.  I think I made up all four of these in 10 minutes or less.

This is the sheet that the stickers were on....hmmmmm, now you KNOW I am going to have to try and figure out how to use those, right??  Be watching!!

I'm already anticipating NEXT month!!!

They send an e-mail letting you know that the kit has shipped and next thing you know, it's arrived!  Actually, I wasn't expecting it for another couple of days.  So, I was thrilled!!

The only thing I needed of my own was a glue dot for the button and adhesive to put the layer on the card.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!

They have extended the offer for a free set of In Color Markers (a retail value of $14.95) if you sign up for My Paper Pumpkin, by March 31st.

Why not try it out?  You can go HERE to read more about it.  And, be sure to put my name, Charlene Wilson, as your demonstrator.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised and you'll start a stamp collection that no one else has or can purchase, except other Paper Pumpkin subscribers!!

Have a Fantastic Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to each and every one of you!!!

Here is the card I made for my hubby for Valentine's Day!

For us, Valentine's Day is just another day!  After 45 years of marriage....we don't go all out, anymore!   Not that we ever did go all out, but you know what I mean.  It used to be that I looked forward to the day.....and loved getting flowers, a card, candy or going out for dinner.  Now, I don't really expect any of those things.  Not that flowers, a card or to be taken out for dinner, wouldn't be nice!  But, it's not what is important to me, anymore.  It's great if I get those things or any one of those things, but my day won't be ruined if I don't, either.

Hubby did mention that we may go check out the new cafe that opened up in our small town just recently!  Or not...depending on how we both feel at the end of the day :-)  Sometimes, just staying home and not doing anything....is special!!

I have been super busy, today,  typing up the tutorials for February's SOTM (Stamp of the Month) card club and putting the kits together.

This month's SOTM was Hearts a Flutter....and I used those stamps and the Framelits that go along with it.  I'll share photos later, but not till after my customers receive their kits in the mail.

I am already working on the March SOTM and will be announcing it soon!

Have a great day!!!!

Happy Birthday Granddaughter

Happy 19th birthday, to our youngest Granddaughter!

This is the birthday card and 'cake' I sent to her since we won't be able to celebrate with her, this year, as she is at college.

Boho Blossoms were used to make the flowers on the card and the tea light 'cake' and you can use either the leaf from the Bird Builder punch or the Little Leaves Sizzlits die to make the leaves.

Adding a tiny pearl to the center of the flowers just added a little extra 'touch'.

So much easier than trying to figure out how to ship a cake to college ;-)

Have a great day!!!

What would YOU do?

With this???  I got three of these chipboard shelf type things from a friend back in September.  She was just giving them away.  I just HAD to have them...cause I was sure I could figure out something to do with them.  I figured I would cover them with DSP and then spray paint the insides or??

They would work good inside a drawer for keeping ???

They could be hung on a wall for???
Well, here I am 5 months later.......but I still want to do something with them...I just can't think of what!!

I need ideas!!

They each measure 11 1/4 x 7 3/4.......

Thanks for your help!!!

Have a great day!!!

Snow.....and a card share!!

We ended up with more snow than we imagined!  We hadn't seen snow like this since we moved here 7 years ago.  We figure that we got close to 24" here in our part of Central Oregon.

The snow has stopped and we are even seeing some patches of blue sky peeking through.  That's a good sign.  It is supposed to warm up to the 30's and 40's this week, so now we'll see how fast this stuff melts.

And, the fun begins getting the cars uncovered and the driveway shoveled out in case we need to get out, soon.

Here is a card, to share, that I made at a stamp class, last month. We used the Cupcake Builder Punch, the Pennant Punch and a Scallop Circle Punch (that is retired).
We also used some retired DSP, but you can substitute with one of the other ones that SU offers.  It will make a darling card for this summer!!  But, my weird sense of humor just prompted me to share it NOW!!

Since I have had a lot of time on my hands between taking photos and watching the Olympics, (since I definitely couldn't get out)  I have been making cards like crazy.  Most are for a Stamp Of The Month class for this month, so I can't share them, but I do have others I am working on that I will be sharing in the coming week!

Hope you are staying warm in your neck of the woods!!

Have a great day!!!

Oh the weather outside if frightful......

But, the crafting inside's delightful!!!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

We started getting snow a couple of days ago, as did the entire western side of Oregon on up into WA.

Of course, all the news is focused on Vancouver/Portland down to the Eugene area because that's the area they cover.  We don't have the local news on DirectTV, so, we rely on the updates on the internet.  And, occasionally the bigger stations to the west 'throw us a bone'...lol
The first photo was taken yesterday morning....I think we had maybe 6" then.  I didn't think to take earlier photos as we just didn't think we were going to get more than a few inches.

This was taken last night after dark, when our Son called and said, "Have you looked outside, lately?"

Our two patio chairs with snow up to the seat.

Our two patio chairs, this morning. The snow is up IN the seats, now.

There is a lone chair sitting in the corner of our back yard.  I love to go out there and just sit in the summer where there is shade.   You can barely see it, now.

Then, of course, Annie had to go outside....so she blazed her own "trail"

David felt sorry for her so he shoveled out an area for her, this morning

And, our poor cars in the driveway!  Hubby is working at getting the driveway cleared so that when this stuff melts....we don't have more problems.

And, finally, a view out my craft room window!!!

So with that, I will get back to making some cards so that I can share with you on Monday!!

Have a great weekend...and STAY warm in your neck of the woods!!!

Char
