Hydrangea Card

Yet another card that I did using the Thoughtful Branches bundle.  This time I made a Hydrangea!

It doesn't show up really well, but after I cut out the pieces for my 'Hydrangea', I stamped them with Heat & Stick Powder and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Then, embossed it again.

I attached one flower to the stem and then attached the other on top of that with a some Stampin' Dimensionals.

After attaching the 'flowers' to the card, I added tiny pearls.

Yes, Another Thoughtful Branches card

 I just have to keep sharing this awesome set till August 31st!!  I love it that much!  Besides, after August 31st, I will still be using this set but I won't be able to share it because it will be GONE!!!

Here is a card I made using the stamp from the set.  I just laid my smaller whisper white card stock over my 4 x 5 1/4 layer and stamped.  First off, though, I used my markers to color onto the stamp so that it would have the color of 'turning' leaves on each leaf.  Then, I stamped all over my cardstock.

After doing that, I matted the smaller card stock to the layer and attached it to my card.  I left enough room to stamp the sentiment.

If you look closely at the stamp set, the stamps seem a lot smaller than they actually are.  I think that was done to be able to fit them all onto picture.

I will list the products used to make this card below.  Now, I used markers to color my leaf, but you could also use a sponge dauber and your ink pad of the same color.

Thoughtful Branches.....going, going.....

Since the Thoughtful Branches bundle will be gone after August 31st, I wanted to be sure to show you how versatile this set is.

See all those thinlits?  Well, you can use them to create trees, Hydrangea bushes, Pumpkins, Animals and of course there are also leaves, birds, apples and really great sentiments as well.

I have been having fun using my re-inkers and acrylic blocks to make water colored cards, lately.  Here is just one way you can do some water coloring on your card.

Class Thursday

I am excited for class on Thursday!  Today, I finalized the kits and am cleaning house because I have a dentist appointment tomorrow.

As I was dry mopping my floor in my stamp room, I spotted a 'spider' on the floor and immediately freaked out.

I was SO happy on a second look, as I was getting ready to CRUSH him... to see it was just a cut out from one of my framelits!!  It sure gave me a 'start' there for a second.  I had to laugh at myself, for being such a big sissy!  I am just glad hubby wasn't home to hear me scream and just to find out it was only a cut out.

Now I am working on a Big Shot workshop to be held in October.  I will update as the date is finalized.  With all the different things that we use with the Big Shot, I think people need to a refresher course on how to use the different platforms with the different products.

I have been having so much fun with the Thoughtful Branches Bundle that is only being offered through August 31st or while supplies last.

When I first saw it, I thought....oh another tree set....BUT then I started seeing all the different cards that were done with the different dies...and I was HOOKED.  I hurried and ordered it before it was gone....and have been having a blast playing with it.

I also love the different sentiments in the set.  And, what I love the most is that it can either be a tree (and all the different seasons) or it can be a Hydrangea bush!! And, I have even seen animals made with it.

Class Registration closes on Monday Aug 15th

I have been super busy, this week, preparing for my class on Thursday.  That mess you see on my desk doesn't contain any of the cards that we'll be making on Thursday, but it does contain quite a few that I made as samples to show!

I am so excited as I will be able to share the items that I bought from the Holiday catalog on my pre-order and have some card samples made up!  It's a FUN catalog, this year!!

Remember, if you don't live close enough to attend my class. on Thursday, but you place a qualifying order this month, of $25 or more, you will receive the Card Buffet that includes directions and photos for making the cards that we made at class.

Thoughtful Branches and Card Share

I have been having a blast using the Floral Phrases stamp set.  Here is another card that I made the other night.  I am on a Floral Phrases kick right now :-)

As I mentioned before, Stampin' UP! has brought out a new stamp set called Thoughtful Branches.  At first, I wasn't going to order it but the more I saw things made from this stamp set, I knew I just had to have it.
