MY RV Stamp Room

My Tiny RV Stamp Room

I have been asked countless times to post about how I store my stamping supplies in a 5th wheel.  I have procrastinated only because I hadn't gotten my stamp room set up the way I wanted to because we have been on the road a lot, this past year and most of you, if you know me at all, know I LOVE to have things organized.

Well, we are finally sitting still for awhile, hopefully, and I have been spending my 'off' days getting things organized.  It has been a real eye opener!!  I CAN actually stamp it with minimal supplies and space.

I know, from previous experience, that this organizing isn't going to be 'finished' any time soon as I will keep coming up with better ways to store things or display them in my tiny stamp room.  AND, there is still a LOT of wall space but you have to be careful not to put too much weight on the walls.   You don't want it all on the floor when you arrive at your destination :-)   Ask me how I know!!!

I know that some of you are already thinking, but how do all those stamp pads stay in place and the drawers keep from coming open?  Well, we have large cardboard type 'things' that we put in front of the stamp holder and Sterilite drawers and bungee cord them in place.  Pretty much everything on the desk rides well as I have shelf liners on the top of the desk and it keeps things from shifting.

Well, this is it!!  Below is the view when you open the door. A long, long ways from a 10x12 room that I used to have, with all kinds of shelves and pieces of furniture to store everything....and a garage lined with shelving units to store all the excess..... but it works!!

I finally have it to where I can get to my card stock (I just recently organized those in magazine file holders, an idea I got from Pinterest) and my basic stamping supplies.

Of course, it's too small of an area for me to put a chair in there and actually stamp but, as you can see, the desk area is full anyway.

This little room was supposed to be a spare bathroom but we had it converted into a craft room/office, when it was being built, with a small desk with 3 drawers on the left.  The 'office' part of the room, is the first drawer, where we keep office supplies, postage stamps, etc.  :-)

The second drawer, in the desk, holds my punches and the bottom drawer has some stamp sets,

After a year of organizing, reorganizing (and I am sure there will be countless other times of organizing going on in the future).....I am finally able to locate things and not have to dig around under the belly of the RV or worse yet....just decide NOT to stamp as it was just too much of a hassle.

My stamp organizer, on the wall, is sort of empty as this year SU retired a lot of the stamp pads I had and replaced them with other colors and I haven't gotten up to speed, yet.

Here's a closer photo of my nine Sterilite 3 drawer storage units that I had bought at Wal Mart and had in my stamp room in our house.  They fit perfectly stacked on top of one another and it leaves a little room on the right side to keep my Stampin' trimmer, Simply Scored Scoring Tool and a couple of other tools.

I have a round swivel organizer on the desk top that holds a lot of  smaller 'tools' like bone folder, scissors, pens, paper piercing tool, blender pens, Wink of Stella, Stampin' Spritzer....well, you get the idea.

In the storage drawers, I have scotch tape, snail adhesive, fast fuse, ATG tape, glue, glue dots, dimensionals, sponges, wet wipes, post it notes, heat tool, ribbons, enamel shapes, rhinestones, pearls, embossing folders, dies and framelits, paper clips, binder clips, command hooks, Dymo Labeler and labels, highlighters and sharpies, scissors, trimmer blades, acrylic blocks, embossing powders and silcone craft sheet and mats.

All of the above drawers have to be re-analyzed because some things I just don't use that often and I really need to have it fine tuned to what I absolutely use the most often.   Of course, some of those things are office supplies.

This room just holds the very basics.  I also have storage under our bed using 12 x 12 plastic storage boxes for designer paper, card stock and other supplies.  There are also a few items under the belly of our RV.  :-)

I am finally back to stamping and now when anyone tells me that they just don't have enough room to store all of their stuff, to stamp, I can tell them..... well, maybe so....but, if you at least have a closet....you can have enough room to have the basics!!  :-)

With that said, I don't have NEAR the 'stuff' I had in my house and garage....but then, did I even use most of that 'stuff'?  NOPE.....sad but so often true.

Hope this gave you a little idea of how I organized and store my stamping supplies.

Any questions, feel free to ask!!

Now, go stamp!!! :-)
