Hello AUGUST and many fun things coming!!

Wow, it's August!!!  I really can't believe we are still having to social distance.  It's been 5 months.  But, on the bright side, more time to play in my stamp room.

I have not been able to have any classes in my home...and YES, we are now living in a house again!!!  More on that later.  I almost have my stamp room all organized  :-)  We had a lot of other things to get done before I could get to the craft room.

About a month ago, I bought two Kallax shelf units from IKEA (one like the one below) and another one that was half as tall.
KALLAX shelf unit white 57 7/8 " 15 3/8 " 57 7/8 " 29 lb

And, on Thursday, I got a desk with two sets of drawers.  LOVE IT!!!!  Just did get the desk unit set up last night and haven't even sat down to stamp yet, but it won't be long.  I didn't buy the center pole.  I knew that would drive me crazy.

LINNMON / ALEX table white 78 3/4 " 23 5/8 " 29 1/8 "

What I really wanted to remind you about was that if you placed an order with SU in the month of July, you would have been e-mailed Bonus Codes.  Hang onto those Codes and use them when you order in August!!  Each coupon is worth $5.  And, yes, you can use all of them in the same order.

Some other great things are about to happen.  Our Holiday catalog or what they call the August-December Mini Catalog is going live in September!!!   So many exciting things in the Mini Catalog.

07.01.20_TH_AD_CATALOG_US
And, a new ordering system is rolling out soon.  We've been assured that it's easier to navigate and you will love it.  I'm excited to see it, myself.

There are still some things on back order.  It's the way things are going, I know, in a lot of different industries.  One thing comes to mind is the In Color reinkers and some other items.

I have been having fun with the Forever Fern Bundle!!!  I just sent out my customers that ordered from me, a Card Buffet including directions for three cards.  They LOVE that set.

Here is one I made using that set that wasn't a part of the Card Buffet.

It's using the technique,Split Card stamping

I'll be posting some of the other cards that I made using that set in a few days.

Hope everyone is staying safe and crafting away.

Hi

I just wanted to update you on why I haven't been posting on my blog for months!!   We got moved into a rental house, in January, and are giving up RVing and we have been super, super busy getting everything cleaned and fixed up and getting my stamp room set up.

I am back to stamping, again and have managed, with the help of my customers, to stay active, with Stampin' UP!,  the last 3 years while we were on the road.

I have started up my Card Buffet, once again.  For those that order through my website, in any given month, they will automatically be sent the instructions for those cards along with photos, via e-mail, for that month's Card Buffet.

This is the first month, for my Card Buffets, and it's a really great time to shop......as in July through August 2nd, for every $50 you spend, before tax and shipping.....you will get a $5 coupon delivered to your e-mail (make sure you DO have your e-mail set up, if you don't already, to receive these from SU).   Make  sure you keep the coupons  safe or write down the coupon code....and, Then, in August, you can redeem those coupons (by typing in the coupon codes) when you place an order.

This month, for my Card Buffet, I am featuring the "Forever Fern" Bundle and have instructions for 3 cards to share with you, via e-mail, when you place any order through me through the month of July.

FOREVER FERN BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

I can't seem to quit making cards using this Bundle.   So many possibilities.
Next month, will be an entirely new stamp set/bundle.  So stay tuned.

Have a great day!!!

Making a difference during Covid 19 SENTIMENTS

COVID-19 Giveback Social Shareable

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to give you a heads up that SU has created some really cool sentiments to add to your cards that you are sending out during this time.

I have purchased my set and I can tell you that there is something for everyone in this PDF.

The following was on the order page.  I cannot share the PDF.....as this is a way for us to make a difference by each of us purchasing these sentiments and all of the proceeds go to making a difference.

This digital stamp set is packed with both lighthearted and thoughtful sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in. You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards!
As part of Stampin’ Up!’s Making a Difference program, 100% of the Share Sunshine PDF Download proceeds will go to COVID-19 efforts through these organizations:
  • The World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund
  • United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund
Help us make a difference today!
Here is the link where you can purchase your own set.  There are 15 pages and the cost is just $12.  You will then be able to print off the images, over and over, once you have saved them to your computer, to make even more cards.
Here is the link to go to purchase them https://covid19.stampinup.com/products/giving-back-us-ca
I don't receive any commission from the sales of these sentiments.....and SU donates all the profits to two different organizations.  It's our way of just doing what we can.

ENJOY!!!!  And, when you do purchase the sets....be sure to tell others.

Thanks!!!

In the Saddle again!!!! Thank YOU!!!

Hi Everyone,

Daisy | plant | Britannica

Well, just to catch you up on what's been going on in our lives,in a nutshell,....basically we ended our RV travels 'officially' on January 31st.

A lot went into this decision and I won't share all the details but it was extremely hard for me to keep up with my Stampin' UP! business and even to keep up my quarterly minimums while we were travelling and working.

BUT, without some of you even knowing what a struggle it was, just as a quarter came to a close one or two of you would send in an order and I'd be good for another quarter.

At first, I didn't think much of it.....but when this went on for 3 years, almost, I KNEW I had to do something..  You never knew how close I was to having to give it all up but somehow, just about the time I thought I would have to give it up......here came an order from one of you.  YOU KNOWWHO YOU ARE!!!  :-) And, I wanted to just say THANK YOU so much for your support!!!
You are the ones that kept me going when I just couldn't order myself because of one thing or another.

We had some health issues for awhile, then our precious Annie became ill and we just had to stay focused on keeping her well. Then, my husband had a health scare and finally, I did.....and so, we finally made the decision to just sit for awhile and decide what to do.

That is when we were given an opportunity to rent a house here in WA state.  The day was Dec. 7th.   We jumped on the chance and were so excited.  Not an hour later,  our Annie had to be rushed to the Vet....and she had to  'leave us'.  My heart was broken and still is.

Some of you that know me, personally, and know that my Annie was the inspiration for my blog name and that I was super close to her.

BUT, the good news out of all of this is that.....because you, the customers that kept ordering from me, I was able to stay active and I will NOT forget that.

So, I am back in the 'saddle' again.  Who knows where this journey will lead.  If it leads nowhere, that is ok!!!  But, it's just so wonderful to be in a house and able to create once again.

And, as soon as I have my craft room set up (remember, I sold everything or gave it away) I can stamp again (which should be next week).

I'll be sharing photos of the progress I have made in that room.  It's nothing like the room I had, but after having NO ROOM.....I'm so excited.

AND, I'll be starting up my Card Buffet once again.  More on that later.

Just wanted to say thank you!!!  And, to let you know you can expect posts more often, now.

BIG HUGS!!!!!

Settled in for Winter!! And some shares!

Well, we are finally sitting still.   We have been on the 'road' since  mid April and then working at Dworshak Dam, in ID, from May till mid-September.

We weren't sure where our next job would take us but when we got to our friend's house, they convinced us to stick around here for the Fall/Winter, at least until we made up our minds if we wanted to settle down or continue RVing.

Now that I am not working and have decent Wi Fi and am close to my storage shed, I can start stamping like I used to.  That is the plan, anyway.

It was such a struggle up at the Dam to get onto Blogger, I could e-mail but uploading photos was almost impossible....it would take days and days for the pictures to come through from my phone to my computer.

Here are a couple of cards that I made while I was at the Dam.  One was for a 90 year old man for his birthday and the other for my husband for his 75th birthday...both in September.

I realize that these cards use retired products but it's all I had with me that I felt would be appropriate to use for guys that used tools in their jobs.

Then, I made a stop sign using the old Alphabet that SU used to carry. :-(

The Ranger had told me that she had her back to the door when people would come to her cubicle and it would be nice if she had a sign that told them she was on the phone!!   So, I made her one and put rhinestones all around the outside of the STOP sign and on the lettering.  She loved it!!!

Wow.....I can't believe I wrote an entire post, photos and all in less time than it took me to get connected and onto Blogger up at the Dam.

Hopefully, now I'll be encouraged to share a LOT more!!!

If you have time, will you please let me know if you received this or not?  Just a comment, "I GOT IT" will help me know how to move forward.

Have a fantastic day!!!!!

Retiring List to post on April 15th and Stampin' Trimmer news.

Image result for Images for retiring

Stampin' Up! will soon be releasing their Retired List on April 15th.

As exciting as this is to know new things will soon be available, we tend to wait too long to order the card stock that will be retiring and the inks and pads that go with them.

So, if you have a favorite color on 'in color' card stock that you really like, don't wait for the final day to place your order as we have come to realize that the retiring colors go the fastest and are sometimes out of stock in hours.

On another note:

Yesterday, We demonstrators learned of some major changes that will be coming with the new catalog that I wanted to share with you.

With the release of the upcoming new catalog, the Stampin' Trimmer, including blades, and cutting mats will retire.

SU has had difficulties getting replacement blades and other challenges with our suppliers.

I suggest you order your replacement blades soon!!!!

I just did check while getting my blog post ready to post and already the Stampin' scoring blades are gone AND the Stampin' Mats.

So, get your blades ordered, now!!

There is a limit of 3 packages (6 blades) per order currently.  Beginning April 15th the limit will change to 6 packs of 12 blades.

We expect to have a run on blades.  These blades could go on back order or un-orderable status.

Also Stampin' Up! will be retiring the Big Shot and it's accessories in the new catalog.

Just like the trimmer Stampin' Up! is working on a different die cutting machine but currently it is not available.

This means all accessories will be retiring too.  Click on the links below to order your supplies for your Big Shot before they are gone.

The Good News is that Stampin'  Up! will continue to offer dies and embossing folders.  They will work in the existing Big shot and all other Die Cutting Machines on the market.

So I recommend you order ASAP, click on the links below and be taken right to my SU! Online Store.

paper trimmer tool       trimmer cutting blades
STAMPIN' TRIMMER                    STAMPIN' TRIMMER CUTTING BLADES

                                 Price: $6.00Stampin' Trimmer Blades

                  Price: $30.00

I'll post the retiring list as soon as it comes available.  So, stay tuned!!

Have a great day!!!

Paper Pumpkin is turning 6!!!

I wanted to share is about Paper Pumpkin.  I have been getting these fun boxes from SU because it's just so easy to have a small project to do that's already thought out for me.

In March, Paper Pumpkin will be 6 years old and SU is giving us TWO stamp sets in one box.

But, hurry.....you have to sign up by March 10th.

Here is the flyer!!

If you have had Paper Pumpkin before but have put it on hold, be sure to get it coming again for March.   I am looking forward to seeing what they have up their sleeve.

If you have never ordered Paper Pumpkin before, now is a great time to order it to try it out.  You'll be getting two stamp sets.  Everything you need to make the kits is in that box...with the exception of adhesive to put your cards together and we all have that.

Here is the link where you can sign up to receive this month's Paper Pumpkin.  But, hurry.....time is running out.

https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2126882

What have I been up to lately??

Actually, it's been a really busy two years.

I realized, the other day, that next month, April 28th to be exact, will be two years since we sold our home, bought an RV and have been here and there ever since.

It's been an adventure....some good, some not so good but we have made a LOT of memories.

As for my stamping, and my SU business, I have had to make a LOT of adjustments.  It hasn't been as easy as I had thought it would be to keep up with my SU business, my customers, let alone my stamping.  (although I knew it would be a lot harder than living in a home in a permanent spot, I didn't dream it would be this hard).

For one thing, we aren't always in the same location.  Now, that doesn't affect my customers, as their orders are sent directly to them....but it does affect me, on how I receive my personal orders as we could be at a different location but only there a few days so couldn't order like I wanted to in order to keep up with the new catalogs.

And, it also affected me offering my Card of the Month, that my customers were used to receiving when they placed an order,  as to be perfectly honest I only had  a minimum of supplies with me while we were travelling around in the truck, before we got our RV.

The first 5 months, we didn't even have our RV yet so everything was still packed in our storage shed.

We thought we'd have our RV in June and be back in Oregon the next month, before heading to TX, but that didn't happen.  We didn't receive our RV till September 8th. I was without my stamping supplies for over 4 months and even after we got some of them into our RV, it was.

So, truth be known, I struggled to keep afloat so that I could at least hit my 5 year mark with Stampin' UP!   I made that goal in October of 2018.

But, I lost most of my customers, which is understandable.  They wanted ideas and I just couldn't keep up with my Card of the Month, being constantly on the road.

So, to all of my customers that are reading this....I am truly sorry that I let you down.  That was not my intention when we started this journey.   I just had no idea that we wouldn't have our RV in June and how extremely difficult it would be to keep up the pace once we did.

Now that we are sitting still for at least another 6 months, it's easier to stamp.  NOT EASY...but easier.

The stamp room that I created in our RV is very, very small and a lot of my things are over in a storage shed.  For the first year, we were a long way away from the storage shed so I couldn't just go get things to work on.

I have organized and re-organized my little stamp room so now it's at least easier to get to the supplies that I keep here in the RV.  I am starting to stamp again!!!  That, in itself, makes me happy!!

Long story short, I don't know what the future holds.  I will keep stamping.  At least, now, we have a storage shed closer to where we live and work and I can keep some supplies over there.  Still, it's not ideal and I do really MISS having a 'real' stamp room but it just goes to prove that IF you want to do something bad enough, you can.

I guess what I am trying to say is....sometimes "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get!!"  :-)

I will continue to share ideas when I can get things made....and post to my blog.

Here is one thing I made not too long ago, to share with my Co Workers and friends.

These were so much fun to do!  I made the little calendar holders but ordered the calendars from Vippies.com.

Since then, I ordered some more from Taylored Expressions and got the ones for 2019...as they were only .75 cents for a pack of 10.    And, they were just black and white....not colored like the ones in the photo.

Sorry this post was so long.........................I'll try and do better!!

Have a great day!!!
