I made this card for a friend that just found out she has cancer. I should have untied the bow so you could see that there is a little message behind the two flaps.
This time, I used my Tattered Florals die by Tim Holtz to make the flowers. There are four flowers in all and I attached one of my brads from Wal Mart to the center.
If you lift up the top flap, it says, Thinking of You!!
If you untie the ribbon, it says, "A Little Hello" stamped on a piece of white card stock.
I had gotten one of these types of cards from a friend and I couldn't wait to try my hand at it.
They are pretty fun to make!!
You start with a piece of cardstock 9 x 4 1/4 and score it at 3 1/2. Then, cut a piece of cardstock 8 1/2 x 2 and scored at 2 1/8 and flip it to the other side and score it again at 2 1/8. Add that to the bottom of your card.
Add designer paper to the top flap and two sides of the bottom flaps and then add a scalloped circle or circle to the top piece and add your flowers to that.
Punch a hole in both bottom flaps, add eyelets and thread your ribbon through.
You can add another piece of designer paper to the inside with a piece of cardstock on top and add a verse. They are really easy to do and there are so many options as to what embellishments you want to add.
You might even add a white circle on top of the scalloped circle with a stamped image. Wouldn't that be a novel idea :-) I find that I am doing more paper crafting, lately, than actual stamping....with the exception of a verse. Hope it all makes sense....it's really unique and a fun card!
My friend, Lynette, suggested I enter it in the Repeat Impressions DCC59 ~ Double Dutch Fold Card challenge, so I am going to do just that.
Have a great day!!
