WAG

WAG is over for yet another year and from the comments that were made and e-mails and
phone calls I have received, it was a success!
I drove over to Salem, OR on Thursday morning as we had to get set up for the weekend. One of my co-coordinators, Channie, came in that afternoon, also. Lori Beck and Andee White showed up not long afterwards.

We decided to go out to the Olive Garden for dinner. OH MY GOSH!!!! YUM YUM!!! I haven't been to Olive Garden since my last experience at another WAG event where a fly ended up in my pasta...ewwwww. This time, it was a lot of fun and the food was so good!

Friday morning, the plan was to meet by 11:30am, in the conference room, if you wanted to go shopping. I think we had 10 of us in two different vehicles. Big hint for next year, beat LORI to the ribbon!!! LOL

Of course, we HAD to go to lunch FIRST...so we headed for IZZY's....for their pizza, buffet and salad bar...YUM.

Then, we were OFF to go SHOPPPPPPPING!!! If you have never been on a group shopping expedition, you are missing out! Especially if you have several enablers in your group.

Our first stop was StampNCat Studio in Salem, OR. She is so great to us every year. She gave us a coupon and also had a make n take for all of us to do. She has a great variety in her store and also has lots of classes. You can even sign up for her newsletter....which is always a treat to read! Tell her Char sent ya ;-)

Then we headed on over to Craft Warehouse, where I found some things to throw in my basket....good gravy. Those girls are such enablers....LOL Warehouse is a good name for it! I could have spent hours in that store.

By then, it was time to head back to the hotel and get the evening started. There were introductions, challenges, games and just fun sharing!

I had them each make their very own 'designer' trash bag to put their scraps in. Here are some photos:

Somehow I missed a few people and their bags. :-(

On Saturday, we did 15 Shoebox projects and there were four demos. I will share the projects in another Blog.

Then, we had four demos Baggie books by Chan Dalrymple, Crop A Dile by Char Wilson, Party in a Bag by Kelly Eiseman and Watercolor Technique by Heather Schantz.

There were drawings throughout the day for prizes (including paper packs, stamp sets, a Sizzix Die, 2 Crop A Diles and 2 Totally Cool Totes....and Bea Rosenleaf donated 3 wonderful altered frames for prizes and a great tin with cards....I didn't get photos of those...so if any of you have those photos...please e-mail me and I will update this blog.

The finale`was the raffle for the Vituri bag. And, Chan D. won. She was so excited as she goes to the CK convention every year and like she says..."It's all about the BAG" Sorry I didn't get a photo of that.

Here is "Vanna" selling tickets for the raffle!
WAG was officially over at 5pm, Saturday night.....and some of the gals had to head for home. BUT.....it didn't end there LOL
Some of us were staying over another night. So, those that were hungry headed to the Olive Garden for dinner. TWICE in one weekend....be still my heart! Others stayed back at the hotel and played!
I didn't get more photos because the FOOD came....LOL
Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and stayed up and 'some' of us just goofed off, visited and did techniques.

Sunday morning, we said all of our goodbyes....but some of us die hards went out for breakfast....sort of a 'tradition' at WAG.

It was wonderful spending time with other Angels from WA, OR, ID, MT and just having fun and getting to know each other better.
We have already started planning next year's WAG!!!! ;-)
