Lovely as a Tree

This is one stamp that I have yet to purchase but I NEED it!!!!  I have loved it from day one but just keep procrastinating.  I was so glad to see it wasn't on the retired list!

On Soft Suede, we layered a piece of designer paper from the Well Worn collection.

Then, we added a piece of Soft Suede cut using one of the "Labels" Framelits in the Occasions Mini catalog.  Then, layered a piece of 'beige' card stock on top of that on which we had stamped "Lovely as a Tree" and then stamped it again at the bottom, upside down to resemble a reflection.  I accidentally colored in the ground under the trees with blue...wasn't paying attention....and then had to recolor it green to hide my mistake.  BUT....the grass isn't usually green in the FALL/Winter...at least not here :-)

We then added happy birthday ( I did good following the plan, huh?) on a piece of beige card stock that had been punched with an oval punch and layered that onto a piece of Soft Suede punched using the Modern label punch.

Adding three brads to the right side....DONE!

Fast, simple....easy....and I love it!!!  Just don't care for the green grass!

Have a great day!!!

See ya tomorrow,
Char

  1. I love your card. I haven't figured out how to do reflection stamping. I have that set and I keep thinking snow when I see the trees.
