Then, add to that having our Granddaughters here for several weeks and one of them that needed to use my craft room/office as her bedroom.....that made it even harder to get back on track.
Hence, I came to realize that we can never take a 'month' off for a vacation again....and NEVER just before the holidays! I even took three tubs full of stamping supplies to get in some stamping....but we were always so exhausted by the time we got to our motel room, at night, that I didn't even remove them from the SUV. :-(
So, a lesson learned!!
Since coming home, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years sort of took over. I did get a few cards made but not as many as I normally get done and sent. Another reason to not take a vacation near the holidays.
What I did get accomplished was to really spend some really good quality time with both Granddaughters!! That will trump stamping or crafting, any day ;-)
We did get a lot of wonderful photos of our trip. My husband's camera was stolen when our car got broken into on the way home, so we 'lost' those photos but I always keep mine in my purse, so I have my photos from both my camera and my phone.
The only thing is, although I got some gorgeous shots, it's mostly landscapes and trees. I love trees in the Fall and there were so many opportunities to take shots of trees. My Hubby just rolled his eyes because a 'tree' is a 'tree' to him.....but I got trees at different National Parks and along different routes. I also found myself, when I was a tad bored, taking photos of clouds. I promise not to share those. :-) After I got home, I thought to myself, what was I thinking?
Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots taken at Bryce Canyon, but let me tell you right now, they do not do the park justice. If you have never been to Bryce Canyon in UT....put it on your bucket list.....I have seen photos for years but NOTHING compares to seeing it up close and personal.
The reddish colors are so much more vivid in person.
We visited The Arches, Bryce Canyon and Zion and went through Capitol Reef and near Canyon lands but didn't take the road to either one. Each one is so amazing yet different. I am glad we went to The Arches first...as it was really awesome.....but after seeing Bryce....it paled (to me) in comparison. Zion was beautiful, as well.....but you have to appreciate each one for their own and unique beauty.
I'll share more in the days to come and maybe even share some cards I made, even though Christmas is over now.
Have a fabulous day!!! And, remember, you can access my SU webpage anytime during the day, here. Check often to see the newest specials and what's new!!
Also, here are the specials for this week!!
