Card Drive for Emma

I am sharing a card that I made with some punches. I am sending it to a little girl named Emma who has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I learned about a card drive for Emma on this blog post. Here is a note from Emma’s family:

Tuesday, October 22, Emma went in for a quick check of a persistent cough as well as to address some concerns about her recent fatigue and pale coloring.  A chest x-ray didn't reveal any fluid in her lungs but her primary care physician detected an enlarged spleen.  She suggested we take Emma for blood work to rule out mononucleosis.  Within an hour of the blood work, we had preliminary results of severe anemia.   At this point, her primary care physician gently warned us of a possible diagnosis of leukemia.  By 2pm that afternoon we were checking into the hematology/oncology clinic at Dayton Children's and meeting the amazing staff who would travel this 2+ year journey with us.

I plan on adding a few more cards to send her way.  If you could take a few minutes to read the blog post about Emma and if you can, send a card or two for Emma and her family! The details are all on that blog post link.

Thanks so much, in advance!!!

And, remember to take time to Paws N Stamp!!

Hugs,
Char

  2. That is such a cute card. I have a good friend that likes kitty, might have to make a b-day card for her. It's a shame it's for such a sad thing though.

    1. It's a fairly easy card to make, too. But, the kids seem to like it.
